ART COLLEGE NANCY
The ENSAD art college is part of the ARTEM University campus accommodating an interacting mixture of disciplines as art, technology and business management.
The project is embedded within the given masterplan of the campus and is linked to the superior circulation connecting the institute-buildings with an enclosed linear pathway realized as a coloured glass/ steel structure. We reacted to the given constraints by designing a building with an inner courtyard and a circular, light-flooded circulation wrapping around that courtyard providing space for meeting, learning and interacting. Classes and workshops are attached to this ring.
The jury awarded the competition entry with the 1st prize and consequently the project was built and opened in 2016.
We have been working on the competition entry.
