HOPFEN UND SOeHNE
Our client’s passion is fine crafted beer and since Clemens got enthusiastic about this topic he dedicated his life to it and by now can be considered an internationally distinguished expert in beer brewing culture. He extended his interest in selected Gin and coffee varieties when he asked us to develop the architectural concept for his new bar/ shop located in the centre of Eisenstadt. What started as a temporary pop-up store in this historic building should evolve into a permanent homelike place for like-minded epicureans - a place to meet, to interact, to indulge in culinary delights …
The design principle was to put a wooden box open to the vault into the main room and position a counter exactly in the center of the room. The crucial moment was finding the exact position where the counter works as a bar/ as a table/ as a counter depending on current use without changing position or being adjusted in height. In this open floor plan there is no back and no front. Staff and customer share the same space.
