The project ist located in the heart of the so-called Servitenviertel in Vienna, a picturesque quarter in the 9th district characterized by well preserved historic buildings with a unique mixture of living, art and cultural institutions.
The existing building has been comprehensively renovated with the aim to preserve the flair of living in a so-called historic ‘Gruenderzeithaus’ with amenities and standard of 21st century. In this way twelve high class condominiums have been designed added by two exclusive two-storey units in the attic conversion.
The typical shape of a roof with a dormer is reinterpreted and formally dissolved into a bend wrapping around the interior materialized in aluminium cladding.
In cooperation with our partner we developed the design for the attic apartments, prepared the documents for legal permission and tender for the entire project.
