We have been asked to work on the design study for a single family house in Vienna. Approaching the building from street the metal cladding of the façade creates the impression of a jewel case lying on the lawn. To provide privacy the L-shaped building has a more closed façade facing public areas and a fully opened façade orientated to the huge private garden.

The glass façade is recessed in order to provide shelter and allow fluent transition of inside and outside.

The main living area is positioned on ground floor with access to terrace, a pool and an outdoor kitchen. A double height space with a gallery connects ground floor with first floor accommodating private living space.
