EVENT VENUE GOeD
The Austrian Trade Union Federation asked for a redesign of the existing event and lecture hall in a 70s building in the center of Vienna. The architect answered this demand in reorganizing floor plan by switching functional sequences and establishing an entree allowing direct access from the outside.
The two main conference rooms shall be designed as wooden boxes put into the existing building structure with oak parquet flooring and walls cladded with oak-veneered acoustic panels. In contrast foyer and circulation areas exude subtle noblesse being materialized in a very light cast terrazzo flooring and white walls.
The event venue is equipped with high standard state of the art multimedia technology featuring two big LED screens that can be moved and adjusted to different event scenes.
We have been commissioned with site supervision on this project, organizing construction work under the premise not disturbing other tenants and delivering designed quality within given budget- and timeframe.
