HOUSE L
Design study for a single family house in Vienna. Two cubic volumes are layered one above the other placed on a base that vanishes into the hill. The design generates its formal strength by dissolving those volumes with precise cut outs for windows and voids. The project is meant to be materialized in concrete and stone emphasizing this archaic impression.
The interior appears as an open floor plan and fluid spaces on three floors with a vertical roof top garden high enough to provide beautiful views onto surrounding nature and the Viennese skyline.
We developed the design study in cooperation with Dietrich | Untertrifaller Architects.
